DIY Mini Valentines Day Ideas

Happy almost Valentines Day to all of you! Just so you know, I made a BIG mess in my room trying to get “inspired”.
I did eventually get a few mini ideas, so, here we go!

My first idea was this is a little vintage style hair pin.

Yes, very self explanatory. All I’m going to say is that I cut the heart out of red foam and then glued it all together. SO EASY!

Next, I made this little mini notebook. If you want to give this to someone for Valentines Day you could fill it first with things you love about them. You can always make it bigger then I made mine to.

To make the pages of the notebook I just cut up a page or two of computer paper. Then hot glued the pages together. To make the old looking paper, I used the tea dyeing method. The heart I cut out of a mini Reese’s pieces wrapper;)

Cut a piece of your paper out the size of the little notebook. I used a glue stick to glue the paper in place. I went into no detail with the cover at all. I didn’t even fold the edges in.

Decorate how so ever you desire.

I got my last idea from a magazine. I saw it and though the idea was really cute! Mom said I should make one except do it Valentines Day inspired;)

What you need for this is all above. I think you can tell just by looking at it;)
The paint I used was water color.

Sketch out whatever design you want. I just did “I love you”.
After you finish sketching, paint!

I didn’t do very much with mine. Just traced the words with a tiny paint brush and filled in the inclosed sections with light pink.

For the rest of it, trace the size of the paper into some cardboard then cut it in half. Then cut two pieces of paper that are bigger then the two pieces of cardboard.

Snip away all four of the corners.

Use your glue stick to glues the flaps and the piece of cardboard in place. It helps the paper stay where you want it to if you put it under something heavy while it is drying.

Now all you have left is to fold your picture in half, and glue it between your two pieces of cardboard. Then use some ribbon or lace to put around the outside; I glued the ribbon with Quick grip.

There you go! Three mini Valentines Day thingys.

I hope you enjoyed the post and if there is anything you would like me to do a post on, please don’t be shy about it! I would love you hear your thoughts!
