DIY Hair Wrap

Hey!
So, today I’m going to show you how to put in a really cool hair wrap. This adds a great pop of color and it is great DIY for the spring weather.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will need:
Embroidery floss
Scissors
Clear hair elastics
Charm or bead
Now choose a section of hair...I chose to do a little section behind my ear which turned out to be a very awkward place to take pictures but we made do:)
Braid the section that you chose and tie it off with a little hair elastic. (It will be easer if you tie the rest of your hair back into a ponytail)
Cut about 1 1/2 feet of embroidery floss for and inch of that color. Then tie a very tight knot around the base of the braid. Lay the shorter end of the string on the braid. Take the longer end and start wrapping the floss around the braid.
When you get as far as you want with your first color, wrap the string loosely around the braid. Then pull the end of the longer string through the loose part of the string. Tie a knot with the longer section and the shorter section of floss.
Take you second color and hold it like I am doing in the picture above. Start wrapping the longer end around the braid and do it in a way that keeps the shorter end in place.
Now just wrap, wrap, wrap!!
Continue this process with all the colors all the way down the braid.
When you get to the bottom tie it off the same as explained above.
If you want to add a little charm at the bottom like I did, just string the charm through one of the ends of string and tie a knot. Trim all the ends of string so that it is to your hair length. Now, put a hair tie at the base of the string to keep it from slipping.
Now you have a cool hair wrap for the summer/spring! You can keep this in as long as you want. You can shower, sleep, brush and do your hair just like you normally would! (except you probably don’t want to use any hot tools on it. It might start on fire:)
